Women for Meditation
This year we are offering a brand new format for our popular 'Women for Meditation' meetings. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of meditation practice and ability to integrate it with your everyday life and commitments. Open to all women who have attended our Introduction to Meditation course and are able to commit to regular monthly attendance at our meetings as well as practice at home.

Deepening around Mindfulness
These half day retreats will focus on the Buddha's Four Foundations of Mindfulness and draw on The Anapanasati Sutta. Led by Satyadevi at the Centre from 9am to 1pm on 4 March, 10 April, 5 August and 28 October 2012. Cost $60 per day. Bookings essential

Buddhist Recovery Network - Eleventh Step Meetings
This is an international network which supports the use of Buddhist teachings, traditions and practices to help people recover from the suffering caused by addictive behaviours. Open to people of all backgrounds, and respectful of all recovery paths, the organisation promotes mindfulness and meditation, and is grounded in Buddhist principles of non-harming, compassion and interdependence.

Eleventh Step Meetings are held every Sunday from 6-7pm at the ABC including Christmas day and excluding New Years day. These include body relaxation, mindfulnes
s meditation, cultivating positive emotion meditation and study. Wear comfortable clothing.

Meditation posture will be taught if necessary. Led by Navachitta. By koha/dana.

Buddha Day - Sunday 6 May
Celebrates the Enlightenment of the Buddha.

Dharma Day - Saturday 30 June
Celebrates the occasion of the first teaching by the Buddha and the subsequent unfolding of the vast riches of his Dharma.

Celebratory Puja for Sangharakshita -
Monday 27 August
Celebrates the Birthday and dedicated to the long-life of our founder Urgyen Sangharakshita.

Padmasambhava Day - Friday 12 October
Celebrates the iconic tantric guru, the lotus-born one who established the dharma in Tibet. Open to all order members and mitras.

Sangha Day - Sunday 25 November
Celebrates the spiritual community and friendships of the followers of the Buddha.

Parinirvana Day - February 2012, date to be confirmed
Commemorates the Buddha's attainment of full and complete nirvana upon passing away.
Open to all mitras and order members.
