Welcome to the Auckland Buddhist Centre website where you can find out about our meditation courses and other activities. We've been part of the Grey Lynn community for many years and are open to visitors from 10am-4pm weekdays. We hold classes, study groups and other activities most week nights and Saturday mornings.

As well as helping people to learn meditation and explore the Dharma, the Auckland Buddhist Centre has a small bookshop which sells cards, candles, statues, incense, mats, meditation stools and meditation cushions.

We also have two large and pleasant rooms available for hire. They provide excellent facilities for workshops, seminars or quieter therapeutic or meditative practices.

Visit our Meditation & Buddhism pages to find out the details of upcoming courses.

Look here for retreats and here for festivals or other activities.

On the Events page you can see what other activities are coming up at the centre.

Yoga and body-work practitioners use our rooms. Go here for details of classes.

Dharma Nights: Mondays evenings from 7pm

Great class to attend as an introduction to our centre's activities. Once you are familiar with the mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana practices you are very welcome to come along and enjoy the company of others for both meditation and regular exploration of the teachings of the Buddhist tradition. These nights usually start with a talk on Buddhism followed by a tea break and then a meditation. If you want to know the topic for a particular night, sign up for our newsletter or call the centre that week. Entry by koha/dana.
