Retreats
Retreats are an excellent opportunity to deepen your
meditation practice and enjoy the company of other people who are
exploring the Buddha's teachings. The structure of retreats gives
ample time for meditation, reflection and relaxation. Our weekend
retreats usually begin at around 6pm on the Friday evening and
finish early afternoon on the Sunday. Booking is essential.
Please
print a booking form and return it to us with your deposit
no later than one week prior to the start of the retreat. Cost for
weekend retreats: $240/190/120 - you choose what you can afford to
pay. Additional cost structures apply for longer retreats.
Many of our retreats are held at
Sudarshanaloka Retreat Centre, Thames or at Awhitu Environmental
Camp on the eastern coast of the Awhitu Peninsula.

Alexander Technique - a one-day
introductory workshop for beginners
5 September.
Led by Satyadevi. $60. Book
here.
The Alexander Technique is a re-education of the way we move and use
the body in every day activities. Alexander Technique can liberate
energy locked in negative habits of mind and body;
improve body ‘use’ at home, work and in artistic performance;
increase skill in many sports and leisure activities; release the
tension and fatigue of some stress related illnesses.
In this introductory workshop we will learn how unhelpful postural
patterns and misuse of the body can be prevented, so that, with
practise and support, the body can once again become a delightful
play of natural forces working in harmony with gravity.
The Living Breath
